I explored Mali while I was in the Peace Corps. And, while in Mali, most people try to see the mosque in Djenne. It's a giant structure made of mud. In front of the mosque was a large community market. While I was atop the mosque, overlooking the market, I was thrilled to see someone ride through the area on a camel.
