| I
served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Liberia, West Africa,
so very long ago. My job was to collect Liberian Folk
Tales. Who knew how it would impact my life? I
created an award-winning website
about the tales, which led to creating my clip
art site, which in turn brought about my muraling.
Who knew my little cartoons would take me around the
world? So far, I've painted 74 murals in 30 countries. The magic of it all in Liberia was their tribal beliefs. I never understood anything about them because they were never shared with foreigners. The masks on this ornament were part of the souvenirs that I brought back from Africa.. |
