Berber Woman

Photographing Berber women in Morocco was no easy task.   They almost always refused every time I asked them.  That's why this photo is so special to me.   I was driving through the Atlas Mountains when a group of these women climbed up onto the road.   Stop the car!  It was a photo opportunity.  Some fled.  Others said no.  But, this woman was willing to be photographed if I paid her.  It was worth every dirham.
