Symbolic Style of Art

We have all heard people say, "I can only draw stick figures."  Well, in this lesson, that's all we do.  We pretended to be Stone Age people and illustrated stories on the walls using only stick figures.  Then, following the example of Keith Haring, we painted stick figures in a variety of activities.  It was not nearly as easy as the students first expected.
