I love this class.  It is my only class that lasts for an entire year.  The students have the time they need to get into some really neat projects.  In the first quarter we focus on lettering and cartooning.  These two skills will follow them the rest of their lives as they express themselves.  Second quarter involves twelve art projects to make the most beautiful calendar they'll ever own.  During the third quarter, we use grids to enlarge, reduce and replicate.  The final project involves copying famous masterpieces and painting them on ceiling tiles.  Finally, the last quarter puts all of their skills together in a folk tale book from their country of origin.  It includes ten drawings and is quite a treasure.
