Hands-On Color Wheel

.
This idea was born out of a necessity.  I needed a color wheel for my classroom.  Add that to the fact that my primary students didn't know what colors were used to make orange or green.  Necessity combined with inspiration to form a great activity for the kids.  I provide them with a real hands-on experience how colors are made.  With one drop of yellow paint on the left palm and a drop of red on the right, students rub their palms together to discover orange.  The challenge is to keep the paint on fingers and paper but not on clothing.
