|Shapes and Patterns with Phillip Martin|
Primary artists experience a lot of activities with shapes and patterns. Since they understand what rhythm means in music class, it is easy to grasp the concept in art. We use color, shapes, and up to eight different kinds of lines to create patterns.
When given a little direction and a lot of freedom, children never cease to surprise me. I ask children to create an object using squares, triangles, and circles. Their imagination never ceases to suprise me.
