Although I show samples of the work by Matisse, and he is the inspiration for this activity, the final work is always a unique student inspiration. My artists tend to create masterpieces with much more detail than Matisse. (And, I realize that could be something they have picked up from me.)

Just like Matisse who had to paint paper to get the colors he wanted for his work, my artists are required to paint the paper for at least one part of their creation. But, experience has shown me that one color is enough. If you ask for more than one colore painted, you are asking for headaches.
