Masterpiece Cut Outs

Although I show samples of the work by Matisse, and he is the inspiration for this activity, the final work is always a unique student inspiration.  My students tend to do pieces with much more detail than Matisse.  (And, I realize that could be something they have picked up from me.)  But, just like Matisse who had to paint paper to get the colors he wanted for his work, my students are required to paint the paper for at least one part of their creation.
