Drawing with Phillip Martin
Lesson Plan

The first thing I tell students is that realistic doesn't mean photographic.  Drawing cartoons in proper proportions make them look more realistic. But, we all know they want to know how to make that drawing a lot closer to photographic. So, this lesson gives artists a lot of drawing practice. And, we all know what practice makes.

Beginning with gesture and contour drawings and moving on to shading, step-by-step hints are given to help improve the realistic projects.

This lesson can take a huge amount of time if you allow it. When I teach drawing with Grade 5, it takes more than one term. So, decide if you want to give your artists a taste or dive in completely.
