CENTRAL PARK ..... It still amazes me that someone had the foresight to set that land aside and keep it as a refuge in one of the busiest cities in the world. It is remarkably calm. You can ride canoes on the lake. I used to know the gondoleer who worked the park, but I don't know if he is there any more. The park provides jogging paths, baseball fields, playgrounds, and just a lot of serenity.

And, of course, it also has the Memorial for John Lennon, a simple mosaic that reads "Imagine". It's easy to find on the west side of the park near 72nd Street. I write that because it wasn't as easy for me to find. But, now you know.
