Chagall Picasso Klimt

The MOMA.... I realised long ago that a shorter to do list was always easier than a long one. On one day, I only wanted to see the Statue of Liberty. It was a good thing that it was the only thing I wanted to do. From start to finish, it took four hours to get up to the top. But, the crowd and entertainers in the midst were part of the fun. And, it was so interesting to see the statue from the inside out. Now, a helpful hint when you expect long lines, travel with a book in your pocket.

On the fifth floor, in the last room I came across, I finally found Van Gogh's Starry Night. I'd seen so many famous masterpieces, however, in every room I looked for this painting. It's been my favorite painting for as long as I can remember. And, I finally got to stand before it. Yes, there was a crowd around it, and perhaps they didn't appreciate it the
way I do, but there I was face to face with this masterpiece. And, it had a surprise. If you look at the right side of the painting, you'll see that the painting doesn't go all the way to the edge. And then, scroll over it for a closeup.
