PENANG      Panang, an island on the north west coast, was really developed with tourist hotels along the beach.  It wasn't at all where I would choose to go on a vacation, but I could handle it for free trip for a workshop when the school even supplied me with spending money.  Shopping was good.  (It was thoughtful of the school to pay for the souvenirs I bought.)  I bought a huge batik to use as a dust cover for my computer.  It was meant to be a table cloth, I think.   I also located a nice mask.  Well, it is nice now that I have finished repainting it.
