The GOLDEN TRIANGLE    The Golden Triangle, where Burma, Thailand, and Laos join, was famous for opium smuggling.  Well, it was now a tourist destination.   You could even get your photo taken in front of a sign that said Golden Triangle.   On the Thai side was a huge hotel resort.  On the Burmese side a huge casino was under construction.  Laos?  I guess they still grew poppies because no development was in sight.
