Moment of rest on the delta

MEKONG DELTA     It was suggest I look up  the Sinh Cafe as a point of reference in the city -- good food, cheap lodging, easy tours, and the best cafe au laits in the country.  For $27 I booked a three day tour to the Mekong Delta.  Unfortunately, I  expected eight people and got sixteen.

The tour included some boat rides in the delta, a few craft shops, an incense factory, some of the friendliest people in the world, and a jungle hike.   I It amazed me how swampy it was.  I wouldn't have survived that war.  My shoes were too dirty and bothered me all day.  The nice paths were not part of the war scene.  Life in the Mekong Delta would have been hell in the war.
