PIAZZA DELLA SIGNORIA ..The main meeting place in any Tuscan village worth its pasta is the piazza. And, in Florence, the main square is the Piazza della Signoria. This was the heart of Florence since the 14th century, and it still holds the pulse of Florence. MARTIN |

I'd never seen a piazza that has so many statues! Michelangelo's David was originally here. Now a copy was in its place.. My favorite statue was Benvenuto Celllini's bronze figure of Perseus holding up the head of the Medusa. I took so many photos from about every possible angle. MARTIN |
