SHAKESPEARE'S BIRTHPLACE ..When I first saw the house, I thought they had to have just picked the neatest house in the village and claimed it was the birthplace of Shakespeare. After all, that would make good marketing sense. It was in the heart of the village and just so perfect. However, records dating back from the 1500's are surprisingly good and nobody in the know questions the claim that this really is the actual house.
