The ROMAN ROAD.........The city is huge and takes so long to walk. But, after the Treasury, no matter how amazing the sites, you've already seen the best. The path leads on to more tombs, incredibly colorful sandstone temples, Roman columns, and an amphitheater. And all this is on the flat surface. With more time and willing legs, there is a lot more to see on the mountain tops. That includes the Monastery.

A tip for anyone interested in going to Petra: I'd recommend not going on a Friday. Jordanian students do not go to school on Friday. And, the place was so much more crowded then. Also, if you can wake up and get to the Treasury in the very early morning, you'll have a much quieter experience than you will at noon.
