PERU ... .There
is a Starbucks around the corner from where I live. I've never been
to it. I don't normally even drink much coffee. However, I needed
to make contact with someone from Pro Peru about my mural, and Starbucks
at the Plaza de Armas (Cusco's main square) was such an easy location.

After
walking into this Starbucks, I discovered it was the second most beautiful
Starbucks on the planet. The best one, of course, is located in Edinburgh,
Scotland. From its Art Nouveau windows, you get a view of Edinburgh
Castle. Simply amazing! But, Cusco is in second place.

The interior was slick, clean and modern, but I liked the balcony and windows overlooking the Plaza de Armas. Of course, it didn't hurt that some kind of colorful parade took place in the plaza as I sipped my grande caramel macchiato. Day or night, it was the best location to observe Cusco's very heart. |
