CHARLES DARWIN FOUNDATION.... LotLots of time, money, and energy go into scientific research, education, and trying to maintain the balance between humans and this incredible environment. However, that's not what brings countless groups of tourists to the Charles Darwin Foundation on a daily basis. They come to see the giant tourtises.

The Charles Darwin Foundation has worked to help repopulate the tortoises. Many are raised for years at the Foundation before being introduced to their natural habitat. You can see some of these little ones behind glass. But, even better than that are the areas for some of the larger tortoises where you can get up close and photograph. You can't touch, but it certainly is the next best thing.
